Trichoglossum octopartitum Mains Fruit body 1.5-4cm high, club-shaped or compressed spoon-shaped; black; velvety. Spores fusoid or subfusoid, 100-120 x 4.5-5µ. Paraphyses cylindrical, enlarged at the apical cell. Habitat on soil. Not common. Found in Ohio, Tennessee, West Virginia, and New Jersey. Season June-August. Not edible.
